The executive director of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum has announced she will leave the position at the end of the year.
Christina Shutt has led the facility since June 2021. She is the longest-serving executive director in the ALPLM’s history.
Shutt’s five-year tenure has included national accreditation for the museum as well as creating a strategic plan and new funding pathways.
The ALPLM board will select a new executive director in consultation with the governor and subject to confirmation by the Illinois Senate.
