Springfield School District 186 Superintendent Terrance Jordan says the district’s bus operations are improving, but he has told the company it must be much better.
Jordan told the District 186 board on Monday that he met with officials of the district’s transportation company First Student to set goals for the remainder of the year, including a 95 percent on-time rate and reviewing the most challenging routes.
Jordan also suggested that drivers be trained in classroom-style student management. Jordan added that First Student’s future with District 186 depends on continued improvement.
