Candidates may begin filing nominating petitions today for April’s consolidated election.
City of Springfield positions on that ballot include mayor, city clerk, city treasurer and all 10 city council seats.
The city clerk’s office will be open from 8 am to 4:30 pm today through Friday and from 8 am to 5 pm next Monday, October 26 on the final day of filing.
The consolidated election will be on April 6 with a primary if needed on February 23rd.
